I noticed him not moving and went out to check. When I realized he was gone I went in and told Tom. Then did the next thing a girl does when she looses a pet. I called my Mommy and Daddy. Tom was bogged down with work and consultants and meetings. So we asked my Daddy to please come pick Buddy up and take him to the pasture for burial. The kids never saw him. Mom was coming in anyway so she came on in and brought the kids a few gifts she picked up in Washington DC while visiting my sister. We then had a party to go to and the kids stayed distracted. I had to tell them later that afternoon when Audrey noticed him gone and wanted to go searching for him.

Hi Amy,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Buddy looks like he brought lots of happiness to your family.
Oh my goodness what a shock! I'm so sorry for your loss. Pets really become part of your family, and it's clear that Buddy was loved and a very special part of your family. I'm sure at some point you guys will welcome another 4 legged friend into your family... it won't replace Buddy, but it will definitely help fill the space he left in your hearts! Hugs!
