Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was very nice. Yesterday we were very lazy. I mostly tried to get all the trash out of the house. A cold front blew in last night so today is windy and cold. Audrey spent the night with her Aunt, Uncle and Cousin Katelyn. Katelyn is two and a half and thinks Audy hung the moon. Audrey is in hoggy heaven. A little girl who adores her!
Tom spent a huge part of the day trying to upload music onto mp3 players I got the kids and couldn't make work. I love for Tom to sit and listen to music. He shares it with us and I know he relives tons of memories with his Dad. His Dad loved music and sharing it with the family.
We tried to buy sneakers for William. I'd rather pull my own teeth. Too tight, great, I like this one. Do you like it because of the shoe or the stupid piece of junk toy that comes with it. I don't know......... These are too big. These are right at your toe. Aauugghh....We give up.
We had just gone through this a few weeks ago getting basketball shoes. We wanted to get everyday shoes at the same time but he said the black sneakers worked fine. Then two days later they were too tight. I'd prefer him have slip on/velcro shoes. Alas we didn't get any and perhaps will try again today.
I need to dig into their closet but am putting it off. Since I spilled milk all over the floor this morning I guess I will be cleaning the kitchen before going into their room. We are going to stash some toys away in storage for awhile. I think I will need more boxes for their closet too. I hope I don't try to cheap out this time and get ones that 'work'. I need ones that will stand up to abuse! hinged lids seem to be a great way to go. Then the lids don't get left on the floor to be stepped on and broken.
Audrey's clothes are getting longer so she can't 'pile' stuff on her bottom shelf as high as she use to. She tries mind you and then screams and moans when she knocks them off and they spill when she is trying to get dressed for school. Aaauugghhh!!!!
Maybe I'll try to convince Tom to hang sheet rock instead. Nay.....I'm sure there are bowl games on this weekend. Last opportunities to see college football.
Red Raiders play Ol' Miss in the Cotton Bowl on the January 2nd. Audrey's basketball coach is going and I am totally jealous. Penn State is playing in the Rose Bowl - Go Joe Paugh' . (Joe Paterno, Coach for Pen State, been around for ages.........)
Well, off to do something........
OH! I got my scarf finished for my Mom! This is for Therese. I am working on ones for the kids now. Perhaps will get a post soon.
We got a new camcorder for Christmas. $$ we don't need to spend but, are using the 'they won't be kids for long' excuse. We have two older ones that used the small tapes . One we thought would plug into the computer and we could make disk. Not. So we have a DVD recorder/player thing but, I haven't mastered it yet. Does anyone know of a place that will transfer these tapes to DVD and not charge me more than my mortgage!?
Well, we do have some cute video and as soon as Tom learns me how to get it on line I will post some.
Love ya' all.......
xoxo
Amy

ok made it to the bottom of your post...my friend bought a VHS to DVD converter at walmart for about $100 bucks. She says it works great. check it out...later..oh and thanks for the stuff for the scavenger hunt...we came in last place, but i think they should have given us a handicap due to having to stop and nurse the baby and pull a 2 year old in and out of his car seat every two minutes!

Amy, thanks for stopping by my blog. I always enjoy new visitors and will definitely come back to your blog.

Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas -- and it just wouldn't be the same if we all didn't experience challenges with technology. If you have a teenager handy, just ask one, they'll know what to do.

Merry Christmas and continued blessings!
