Needing prayers.
JJ's father-in-law had surgery yesterday to remove prostate cancer. He is doing well and resting.
Bill from my church had his bladder removed because of cancer. He was in the hospital in Dallas for a little over a week. He is now resting at his daughters house. He is still not doing real well. We need prayers for a safe recovery.
Our friend Chad has an enzyme deficiency disease that has caused his kidneys to slow down to the point where he requires dialysis 3 days a week. He is in the process of getting on the transplant list for a new kidney and he needs a liver as well. A benefit is being held for Chad on May 2nd at their church here in town.
And last but totally not least my sweet friend Lynda was in a very bad car accident yesterday morning (Wednesday). You will remember her from the St. Patrick's Day slideshow. She is the lovely lady with the green braids in the picture with my kids. She was t-boned by an SUV. The jaws of life were required to get her out. Susan, fellow friend, was called to the hospital. Lynda was awake and lucid. She was able to give Susan names and phone numbers out of her head of people to contact. She has a fractured pelvis, cracked ribs, the lower spine has several fractures and broken off little pieces, cuts on her head, and her C2 vertebrae is messed up. They have her flat on her back and in a halo brace. When told about the brace she replied "Oh good. I could use a halo." I have heard that her doctor is great and comes highly recommended and loved. They are watching her very closely and will decide if she needs surgery. Lynda is 70 years old. He husband, Al, is homebound for the most part. He has a wheelchair he gets around in but, Lynda is his life. Please pray for him and the boys as they decide how to take care of all that needs to be done.
Thank you friends.
