My prayer for all of you is that you have a Blessed, Safe, Happy, Joyful Christmas. We had a bit of sickness in the house over the weekend. Audrey has suffered with a tough sinus infection/cold, William had the squirts, and Joseph had a really tough sinus infection. He had fever and upset tummy. Never got to barfing alot but the phlegm build up was making him nuts and giving him bad headaches. They can be so funny sometimes when they are sick. I feel bad for laughing at his suffering. But when he comes in the living room holding his head and moaning about how his brain aches, then flops down on the sofa, it's funny. After a dose of ibuprofen he was laughing hysterically at everything. Don't know if fever was breaking, he was delirious, whatever it was, he was funny.
Mom bravely had then at the farm Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon. I was able to finish up shopping, wrapping and managed to get a few loads of laundry done. Today is a bit ob baking. Broccoli casserole for dinner tonight with Tom's brother's family. Tomorrow is lazy and relax. Mom and Dad will come in for dinner and to see the gifts the kids receive. Farm Christmas is the following day. I'm glad we decided to do it that way because today is COLD and for the very first time in all my born days we had a bit of snow on Christmas Eve. (this just in. Mom says that yes once when I was little. But I don't remember so it doesn't count.) Looking at the radar I don't think we'll get anything real but atleast it is cold. High for the day is to be in the high 30's low 40's. If we were to get some snow that atleast covered the ground a bit white that would be amazing. Anyway, my brother and his wife are in the panhandle with her family. They intend to drive back Christmas day. I don't want them driving on ice.
I have dinner roll dough in the fridge and cookie dough for cut out cookies. Better get the dishwasher loaded with all those nasty dirty dishes on the cabinet then get busy.
OH! I see it. I see it. It's lightly coming down again. Christmas SNOW! HOW AMAZING.
BREAK************
Whew! That was fun. Took a break to run outside and get a little Christmas snow on me. Had a nice little flurry frenzy there for a minute. Then the sun broke out. Oh well. But the clouds are covering it back again. Should be a fun day!
Merry Christmas! From my Herd to yours.
